A wood structure

This large garden shed is made in France from northern fir. This type of wood is known for its good longevity and robustness.
To ensure that the wood does not deteriorate, it is treated with class 3 autoclave. This means it has undergone an in-depth treatment that protects it from biological attack (insects and fungi). However, autoclave is known to protect wood mechanically, not aesthetically. To prevent the colour of your shelter from turning grey, you'll need to maintain it. The 63/100 steel trough roof of this shelter, meanwhile, gives it a solid and resistant whole.


Additional information
- The product is supplied as a DIY kit. Instructions are provided and assembly time for two people is estimated at 10 hours.
- Your product may have green spots, this is due to the autoclave impregnation treatment, the treatment salts can cause small green spots to appear on the surface of the wood. This is caused by resins that have been coloured by the treatment product. This has absolutely no effect on the wood. These small spots can be removed simply by brushing or lightly sanding.

- Please note that it is important to check with your local council beforehand to find out what planning permission is required for the installation of a shelter.
As a general rule, a shelter with a surface area of 5m² or less requires no administrative formalities. For a structure between 5 and 20m² you will need to complete a preliminary works declaration. For structures larger than 20m², planning permission is required.
