Natural style

Our wooden Bilbao deckchairs have a natural look that helps them fit in with different terrace styles easily. They are made of high-quality eucalyptus. This is a durable hardwood, ideal for outdoor use. The deck chairs are also coated with a tinted oil that protects them, leaving them as close to the original colour as possible. In line with our eco-friendly values, we have chosen eucalyptus from-certified plantations in Uruguay. The Uruguayan eucalyptus is perfectly dried after cutting, sanded and treated with protective oil.

Comfortable seats

Bilbao deckchairs are especially loved for their comfort. The wooden slats are supported by straps to provide a supple seat. The sunbeds can be adapted as you like, thanks to the multi-position backrest. This allows you to sit as well as lean back. In addition, a polyester cushion is supplied with each sunbed.

Maintenance advice

The structure of these loungers is coated with coloured oil during production. The saturation of the oil varies according to the type of wood. A small residue may remain. Be sure to remove this with a cloth before the first use. You do not need to oil your new garden furniture, you can wait until the end of summer.
Eucalyptus is a living material. As a result, its appearance changes over time and some cracks appear. This is normal and is what gives hardwood its much-appreciated authentic charm. Although robust and weather-resistant, Eucalyptus requires a little maintenance to prolong its life.
On a daily basis, remove leaves, standing water and dust. Wash stains with soapy water and a sponge. If your structure is very dirty, you can use a small hard brush.
In spring and late summer, clean your garden furniture thoroughly and allow it to dry. Once the woodwork is completely dry, apply a thin layer of oil. Make sure it is not exposed to rain for 24 hours after applying the oil.
If your eucalyptus deckchairs have been exposed to a lot of rain, you may notice that the surface fibres have swollen a little and that the whole thing feels rougher. To remedy this, lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper until it is smooth. Once you have finished sanding, apply a coat of oil to restore the deckchairs to their original colour.
The oil coating is what keeps the furniture from staining and allows it to withstand pollution, weathering and mildew. If you choose to let your eucalyptus furniture age without applying oil twice a year, it will take on a nice silver colour. However, it will no longer be protected.

Caution

- It is important to winterise your eucalyptus garden furniture. Store it in a cool, airy place, away from moisture. If you protect it with a cover, we recommend choosing a polyester cover over a PVC one.
- Do not expose your garden chairs to direct or excessive heat.
