Getting the right equipment for ping-pong
Table tennis is a very popular sport and enjoyed by everyone:
The table used for the game is normally blue. 2cm-wide white edges surround the table. The table is divided down the middle by a 15.25cm-high net. There are two types of ping-pong tables: indoor tables and outdoor tables.
- The indoor tables are compact and can be easily folded for storage.
- Outdoor tables are made for outdoor play and are therefore weather resistant.

As for equipment, the ball is made of plastic and is white or orange in colour. Rackets are not subject to any standards. However, they must be 4mm thick and have a rigid, flat handle.
