WALIBUY is only authorised to use the personal data of its customers if it has a valid legal basis. 

WALIBUY must ensure that it has one or more of the following legal bases:

  • The execution of a contract (e.g. to process and send an order or to open and manage a WALIBUY account)

  • The execution of a legal obligation (e.g. to keep invoices)

  • When it is in the legitimate interest of WALIBUY

The Customer may also provide direction regarding the storage, deletion and communication of their personal data after their death in accordance with article 40-1 of law 78-17 of 6 January 1978. These guidelines may be general or specific.

 

Finally, the Customer has the option of withdrawing their consent at any time.

 

    1. How can I exercise this right?

These rights can be exercised with the company WALIBUY in the following manner:

 

 

The request must indicate the surname, first name, email, and if possible the customer reference number.

 

After verification of your identity, WALIBUY will send a reply within 1 month after exercising these rights. In certain cases, dependent on the complexity of the request or the number of requests, this deadline can be extended by 2 months.

 

In certain cases, these rights may be subject to exceptions (in accordance with regulations).

 

In the event of no reply or an unsatisfactory reply, the data subject has the right to refer the matter to the Data Protection supervisory authority.

 

  1. TO WHOM IS THE DATA TRANSMITTED?

 

Your data are transmitted to partners of WALIBUY who can process the data on their behalf (they are recipients) or only on behalf and according to the instructions of WALIBUY (they are subcontractors).

 

The recipients of the data are:

  • Payment institutions (banks)

  • Legally empowered state authorities

  • Judicial authorities within the framework of their jurisdictional powers

 

WALIBUY also uses subcontractors for the following operations:

It is necessary to be 18 years old to create an account on the WALIBUY website and make a purchase.

 

As WALIBUY does not collect data on minors under 16 years old, any Internet user under 16 years old must not create an account

 

  1. HOW LONG IS DATA KEPT?

 

WALIBUY has determined precise rules concerning how long personal Customer data are kept. As a matter of principle, unless there is a legal obligation to the contrary, the data are kept for the time needed to achieve the purposes for which they were collected.

 

The retention periods are as follows:

  • The data of prospects (people who have never purchased) are kept for 3 years after the last contact from the prospect

  • Customer data are kept for 3 years after the last purchase

  • Cookies for audience measurement, targeted advertising and sharing on social networks are stored on the customer's device for a period of 13 months

  • Purchase invoices are kept for 10 years

  • The recording of customer service telephone conversations is limited to 30 days

  • Data concerning cookies and tags are kept for 13 months

 

  1. MARKETING REGULATIONS

 

WALIBUY uses customer contact details to send them targeted advertising, notably by email, post, SMS.

 

WALIBUY complies with the rules laid down by the directive 2002/58/CE of July 12, 2002 which requires the prior express consent of the customer to send commercial marketing via electronic means (e-mail or SMS).

 

WALIBUY will not send customers personalised marketing communications by email or SMS if they have not given their consent.

 

There is an exception when the Customer, without having given their prior consent, can be addressed if they are already a customer of the company WALIBUY and the purpose of the communication is to offer similar products or services.

 

In any case, the customer has the possibility to oppose the reception of these communications by:

  • Clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in each email

  • Sending an SMS “stop” to the number indicated in the SMS

  • By contacting Customer Service
